“By raising funds for KidSport, we can help ensure that all children — regardless of their financial situation — have the opportunity to enjoy and benefits of playing soccer,” continued Bruneau. “We are excited to see the creativity and generosity of our teams as they contribute to making this endeavour a success and help us achieve the goal of making it #SoALLKidsCanPlay.”

Each team will personalize its plans to give back and grow the game of soccer by creating fun and interactive ways for their networks to get involved in supporting their goals.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three teams, with the top fundraising team taking home a great experience for their team thanks to the support of Cavalry FC.

Soccer is KidSport Calgary & Area’s highest funded sport with more than 2,400 kids given funds to participate last year, totalling more than $800,000 that was invested directly back into local minor soccer programs to ensure KidSport kids have a place to play. That is double the amount of funds in KidSport’s second highest funded sport, which is hockey.
