While there are many valuable spaces within one’s home, sometimes underrated during the house hunting process is where we start and end our day.

For many who keep busy lives, the master bedroom provides an important escape. The hustle and bustle, particularly for families on the go, waits at the door.

Proportions, functionality, along with high-end touches can all help create something special for the heads of the household. These qualities all exist in the Lincoln by Homes by Avi.

The 2,544-square-foot, front-drive, single-family model is now displayed as a show home in the Airdrie community of Lanark Landing.

In this model, the sleep space, itself, reaches 12 feet by 17 feet four inches, which exceeds the typical size of rooms of this kind in similar homes. Two striking ceiling beams add elegance and visual interest.

Both its ensuite and walk-in closet are substantial. On one wall, a free-standing tub is flanked by two sinks. The segment of wall directly behind this tub juts out and features a large window.

It is easy to imagine unwinding in this pace after a hectic day at the office.

The rectangle-shaped walk-in closet is large enough to support two extensive wardrobes and operate as a dressing room.

The two secondary bedrooms, located on the opposite end of a central bonus room, have walk-in closets, as well. At 14 feet by 10 feet six inches, the larger of these bedrooms features a soaring vaulted ceiling.

The bonus room has a vaulted ceiling, as well, along with four box-shaped windows on its exterior wall.

Between these bedrooms is a full bathroom with a vanity containing two sinks. Between these sinks, there’s a generous amount of counter space. This lets the children of the family have their respective areas for hair and hygiene products without risk of clutter.

Next to this bathroom is a laundry room, with a front-load washer and dryer, and counter with a sink and cabinets. Its placement creates a quick path for putting away a clean load of laundry.

On the main level, the centrepiece is a spacious L-shaped kitchen. Unlike most islands, this one has seating on two sides. It can sometimes be difficult engaging in conversation with multiple people sitting shoulder to shoulder. This setup addresses that challenge.

The kitchen is shown with stainless steel appliances, including a chimney-style hoodfan flanked by cabinets on the exterior wall. Storage is a strength for this kitchen, overall. This includes, more cabinets along with open shelves on its interior wall, and a corner walk-in pantry.

A dining area and great room set up side by side along the main floor’s rear-facing wall. The great room, which juts out beyond the dining area, features a rectangle-shaped fireplace flanked by open shelves. These are ideal for displaying family photos or small pieces of art.

The dining area accesses a sliding glass door that steps out to a 12-foot by 10-foot deck. This is a handy format for walking in a plate of burgers on a sunny Saturday evening.

People who work from home will appreciate the flex room, which can function as a home office, located a few steps from interior access to the garage.

The show home demonstrates a developed basement that includes a rec area, bedroom, gym and bathroom.
