The second floor is split into wings, with a bright, spacious central bonus room used as a divider. One end belongs to the master bedroom and the other to the children.

Both secondary bedrooms are spacious and boast a walk-in closet. The larger of the two is 12 feet by 10 feet seven inches. This gives the children of the family rooms that support their needs as they get older.

These bedrooms flank a full bathroom featuring a large vanity with two sinks. This lets two younger children prepare for their school day at the same time, gaining valuable efficiency on weekday mornings.

The sinks have plenty of space between them, creating welcome elbow room, and are positioned below a full-width mirror.

Across from the bathroom is a boxed-out wall in the hallway. In the show home, this space is staged with a desk and chair. If used in this way, the children in the family have a spot to study or polish off a homework assignment before going to bed.

Just a few steps away from these bedrooms is a laundry room, making it easy for children to bring clothes to the washing machine. In addition to the front-load washer and dryer, there’s a surface for folding and a series of cabinets for storing bleaches and detergents.

The master bedroom measures 14 feet eight inches by 13 feet four inches. Elevating the visual interest of the space is an upscale coffered ceiling design.

Its luxurious ensuite provides direct access to the walk-in closet. It, too, boasts a spacious vanity with two sinks under a large mirror.

The ensuite’s other strengths are a free-standing tub next to a large glass-encased shower. The aforementioned walk-in is spacious enough to function as a dressing room.

Rather than placing access to the staircase on the main level off the dining area or great room, in this home, it’s just off the foyer. That setup preserves square footage for these valuable, higher-use spaces.

The focal point of the great room is a box-shaped fireplace franked by two tall windows.

Rather than the great room backing on the the main floor’s rear-facing wall directly, this part of the wall boxes out to create a flex room.

The flex room is staged as a home office, but can support a variety of uses. Based on this location, it is easy to see this space function as a children’s toy and book room. This use helps keep the great room clean, which is especially important when guests are over.

A dining area, adjacent to the great room, has sliding glass doors that step out to a rear deck.

Domestic chefs will appreciate the grand L-shaped kitchen. It features an island with a sink and eating bar that seats at last four people.

Another strength of the kitchen is its storage options, with an abundance of cabinets, and a walk-through mudroom.
