While many families value homes that support their ability to connect, equally necessary is the sacredness of privacy.

Striking a balance between both quality moments together and time apart is the Bentley 24, a new model Jayman Built’s portfolio. The first show home depicting this model is now open in the southeast Calgary community of Legacy.

It is 1,920 square feet and possesses a two-car attached garage. The home is demonstrated with a third level.

From a connections perspective, there are welcoming gathering places on every level, including the top, where there is a sitting area with a walk-up bar. This space also accesses a balcony.

Entered through a sliding glass door, the outdoor space is ideal for supporting enjoyable conversations on a sunny Saturday evening. In the show home, it’s staged with several pieces of outdoor furniture.

Other examples of connections include a central bonus room on the second floor and soaring first level great room.

With an open to above feature, the great room ceiling reaches two storeys. This format exudes luxury, and thanks to the window coverage on its towering walls, reels in a high volume of natural light.

Another focal point is its elongated fireplace with striking full-height tile.

The first floor orientation sets up a natural flow between the great room, adjacent dining area, and kitchen through an open-concept design. With windows on both a side and rear-facing wall, the dining area gets plenty of light, as well.

The kitchen, itself, is positioned as a social hub. It features a well-sized island with seating for at least four people, and space to gather around it.

In the corner of the L-shaped cooking space, there’s a handy corner pantry. With considerate pacing of the appliances, multiple people can be active in the kitchen without crossing paths.

When it comes to privacy, the aforementioned bonus room has a hand in this, as well. It creates a buffer, dividing two side-by-side front-facing secondary bedrooms from the master bedroom at the back.

Even more privacy is offered on the top floor, where there is an additional bedroom and full bathroom. The bedroom features an eye-catching angled ceiling.

In the master, the ceiling incorporates visual interest, too, featuring an upscale coffered design. With that said, the highlight of this bedroom is its accessory space.

Tile is featured prominently in its grand, dazzling ensuite. It reaches from the floor, to one full wall, and is used as the backsplash for the vanity on the facing wall. This vanity has two sinks beneath a full-width mirror.

The ensuite’s free-standing tub and stylish glass-encased shower contribute to its role as enticing retreat. The heads of the household will certainly look forward to capping off a busy weekday unwinding in this space.

A walk-in closet is accessed from within the ensuite, creating a single fluid space in which to get ready for one’s day.

Another way this home design takes privacy into account is at the front door. The foyer restricts views beyond the immediate space.

This is an appealing quality for households that receive a lot of deliveries, such as ones where people who work from home. To that end, a flex room, which can function as a home office, is located just off the foyer.
